‘Preacher’ To End With Season 4
Season 4 of Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s ‘Preacher‘ will be it’s last US network AMC has announced.
Based on the Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon comic book series, the show stars Dominic Cooper as Jesse Custer, a preacher in the little Texas town of Annville. After becoming possessed by Genesis, a supernatural entity produced by the unholy coupling of an angel and a demon, he gains the ability to make people do his bidding. Jesse enlists the help of Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) the Irish vampire, and Tulip (Ruth Negga), his rather unhinged but extremely badass ex-girlfriend, as they head off in search of God who has, apparently, gone missing. Season 3 of the drama took Jessie back home to Angelville, somewhere he had spent his entire life trying to avoid.

The post also announced the Season 4 premiere date on AMC in the US, which is Aug 8th. That should mean ‘Preacher‘ Season 4 premieres Friday, 9th August 2019 on Amazon Prime in the UK, but that is not yet officially confirmed.
Despite the loss of ‘Preacher’ Rogen and Goldberg are plenty busy at the moment with other shows. They had the 2nd Season of ‘Future Man’ premiere earlier this year, which you can find on Syfy in the UK, along with dark comedy ‘Black Monday’ starring Don Cheadle, about the 1987 Wall Street crash. That show should come to Sky Atlantic at some point as part of their overall carriage deal with Showtime, but has yet to appear on the UK schedules.
