ITVX has set a November UK premiere date for the sci-fi comedy ‘Mrs Davis‘, from the creative minds of Tara Hernandez and Emmy Award-winner Damon Lindelof and Starring Emmy Award-nominated Betty Gilpin.
‘Mrs. Davis is an exploration of faith versus technology – an epic battle of biblical and binary proportions. The aforementioned “Mrs. Davis” is actually the world’s most powerful Artificial Intelligence. Simone (Gilpin) is the nun devoted to destroying her after she is ousted from her convent.
The series stars Betty Gilpin (GLOW, The Hunt) as Simone, a nun who goes to battle against an all-powerful Artificial Intelligence known as “Mrs. Davis.” Jake McDorman (Dopesick, The Right Stuff) plays Gilpin’s rebellious ex, who also has a personal vendetta against the Algorithm. Andy McQueen (Station Eleven, Fahrenheit 451)Â also stars.
The recurring cast includes Margo Martindale, Elizabeth Marvel, Chris Diamantopoulos, Katja Herbers, Tom Wlaschiha, Ben Chaplin, and Mathilde Ollivier. The guest cast includes David Arquette, Tim McInnerny, Roberto Mateos, Shohreh Aghdashloo and Ashley Romans.
The comedy-drama is created by Tara Hernandez (The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon) and Damon Lindelof (Watchmen, The Leftovers, Lost) who also serve as writers/exec producers. Owen Harris (Black Mirror)Â is executive producer/director, alongside Alethea Jones (Rise of the Pink Ladies, Evil). Warner Bros. Television produced the eight-episode limited series.
