Sky Witness has set an April UK premiere date for Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Season 26, as the longest-running primetime live-action drama in US television history returns to the UK.

The iconic Mariska Hargitay returns as Captain Olivia Benson in a heart-pounding new season of Dick Wolf’s Emmy-winning drama. As Benson and her elite squad fight to protect the innocent and keep New York City safe, their mission to give voice to victims remains as vital and relevant as ever.

In the opening episode, titled “Fractured”, the team investigate a brutal attack on a group of law students. Benson hopes the discovery of a hidden camera will crack the case open, and Carisi’s best chance at conviction is catching the defendant in a lie.

Alongside Mariska Hargitay as Captain Olivia Benson, the cast includes Ice T as Sergeant Odafin Tutuola, Peter Scanavino as ADA Sonny Carisi, Octavio Pisano as Detective Joe Velasco, Juliana Aidén Martinez as Det. Kate Silva, and Kevin Kane as Det. Terry Bruno.

Dick Wolf is creator and executive producer of the drama. David Graziano, Julie Martin, Mariska Hargitay, Norberto Barba, Kenneth Brown and Peter Jankowski executive produce. ‘Law & Order: SVU’ is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with Wolf Entertainment.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit‘ Season 26 premieres Thursday, 3rd April 2025 at 9pm on Sky Witness in the UK.
