Marvel has released the full official trailer for ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’, which is set to land in cinemas this July around the world.
Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, Marvel Studios’ “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” introduces Marvel’s First Family – Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm/Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm/Human Torch (Joseph Quinn) and Ben Grimm/The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) as they face their most daunting challenge yet. Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner). And if Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.
Other cast includes Paul Walter-Hauser, John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne and Sarah Niles, although their roles have not yet been revealed. Robert Downey Jr. is also expected to appear (even if it’s just in a post-credit scene) in his new MCU role as Victor von Doom / Doctor Doom.
The new trailer gives us a bit more of a look at Johnny Storm/Human Torch quippiness (and his powers), and we do get a tiny glimpse of Mister Fantastic’s stretching powers, along with revealing that Sue Storm is pregnant, presumably with Franklin Richards. In the comics, Sue and Reed have two children, Franklin and his younger sister, Valeria, both of whom have superpowers.
The movie is directed by ‘WandaVision‘s Matt Shakman with a script by Ric Pearson, Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer. Marvel boss Kevin Feige produces for Marvel Studios.
‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ arrives in cinemas on Friday, 25th July 2025.
