Marvel made sure New York Comic Con 2025 lived up to its name, taking over the Empire Stage for a packed showcase of upcoming live-action and animated series. From first looks and teaser trailers to surprise guest appearances, the studio’s TV and Animation division brought the energy and plenty of new details for fans to chew on.
Head of Marvel Television and Animation Brad Winderbaum hosted the event, joined by moderator Brandon Davis and an all-star lineup of cast and creators, teasing what’s next for the MCU on Disney+.
‘Wonder Man’ Brings Hollywood to the MCU
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Watchmen) and Sir Ben Kingsley (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) took to the stage to debut the first teaser for ‘Wonder Man’, a satirical look at fame and heroism in modern Hollywood. The eight-episode series follows struggling actor Simon Williams as he tries to make it big in a world where Super Heroes are part of the industry.
“As an actor, there’s so much that goes into it, vulnerability, ego, hopes and dreams,” said Abdul-Mateen. “As Simon, I get to walk that fine line and experience all of that.”
Kingsley returns as the ever-deluded Trevor Slattery, describing the show as “a love letter to Los Angeles” and to the dreamers who make up the industry. ‘Wonder Man’ premieres Tuesday, 27th January 2026 on Disney+.
‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Brings Back Jessica Jones

You can’t have New York Comic Con without Hell’s Kitchen. ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ star Charlie Cox returned to tease season two, revealing it’s “a much more sinister world for people trying to do the right thing.”
He was joined by Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones), officially confirming Jessica’s return to the MCU. Ritter joked about her Marvel secrecy notes, saying, “They said, ‘Please don’t reveal anything about Jessica Jones.’ So… nothing to say!” She added that it was “big and celebratory” to be back.
The new season sees Matt Murdock once again clash with Wilson Fisk, while Daredevil and Jessica’s banter provides some much-needed levity amid the chaos. A third season has already been confirmed, with Season 2 premiering March 2026 on Disney+.
‘VisionQuest’ Concludes the WandaVision Trilogy

Closing the Marvel panel, Paul Bettany surprised fans by unveiling the first footage from ‘VisionQuest’, which continues Vision’s story after WandaVision and Agatha All Along.
This time, Vision, now in his “White” form, struggles to reconnect with the memories of his past life. “He has the memories, but he doesn’t have the emotions or feelings,” Bettany explained. “White Vision’s journey is about connecting to who he was… but with lasers!”
The footage also confirmed returning MCU AIs like J.A.R.V.I.S., F.R.I.D.A.Y., and E.D.I.T.H., plus the return of James Spader as Ultron. Terry Matalas (Star Trek: Picard) serves as showrunner. ‘VisionQuest’ arrives on Disney+ in 2026.
Animated Highlights: ‘Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man’ & ‘X-Men ’97’

Animation fans weren’t left out. ‘Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man’ will swing back for Season 2 in autumn 2026, teasing Peter Parker’s encounter with a mysterious black symbiote (yes, that one).
Meanwhile, ‘X-Men ’97’ continues its nostalgic mutant renaissance. Season 2 will premiere in summer 2026, with original creators Eric and Julia Lewald and director Larry Houston returning as executive producers. The trio teased new footage and confirmed that a third season is already in development.
Eric Lewald reflected on the enduring legacy of the 90s classic, saying, “You work on something ages ago, and then realise people are still watching it. We couldn’t be more thrilled that you guys still care after all this time.”
From returning heroes to bold new experiments, Marvel’s NYCC 2025 panel proved the studio is still finding fresh ways to surprise even its most devoted fans.
‘Wonder Man’ premieres Tuesday, 27th January 2026 on Disney+. ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 2 arrives March 2026. ‘VisionQuest’ and the new seasons of ‘Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man’ and ‘X-Men ’97’ land later in 2026.
