Disney+ has released the first teaser trailer for ‘A Thousand Blows’ Season 2, the gritty 1880s East End drama from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, which punches its way back onto screens this January.
The new teaser offers a glimpse at a London still reeling from violence and betrayal, with Malachi Kirby (Small Axe) returning as Hezekiah Moscow, Erin Doherty (Adolescence) as gang leader Mary Carr, and Stephen Graham (Adolescence) as Henry ‘Sugar’ Goodson. One year on from the brutal events of season one, Hezekiah is a broken man and Sugar has fallen into drink and despair. Just as Wapping seems ready to give up the ghost, Mary Carr storms back into town with her loyal lieutenant Alice Diamond, ready to rebuild the Forty Elephants and reclaim her crown. But Mary’s latest plan is bolder, bloodier, and more dangerous than ever.
The returning cast includes James Nelson-Joyce as Edward “Treacle” Goodson, Darci Shaw as Alice Diamond, Hannah Walters as Eliza Moody, Nadia Albina as Verity Ross, Morgan Hilaire as Esme Long, Jemma Carlton as Belle Downer, Caoilfhionn Dunne as Anne Glover, Jason Tobin as Mr. Lao, Susan Lynch as Jane Carr, Daniel Mays as William ‘Punch’ Lewis, Gary Lewis as Jack Mac, Aliyah Odoffin as Victoria Davies, and Robert Glenister as Indigo Jeremy. New faces joining the ensemble this season include Ned Dennehy as Bull Jeremy and Catherine McCormack as Sophie Lyons.
