Paramount+ is saddling up for more ranch drama, as ‘Dutton Ranch’ has been renewed for Season 2 following a record-breaking launch for the new Yellowstone spin-off.
The series, which stars Kelly Reilly (Yellowstone) and Cole Hauser (Yellowstone) as Beth and Rip, premiered in May and has quickly become a major hit for the streamer. Paramount+ says the drama pulled in 12.9 million viewers globally in the seven days following its premiere, making it the biggest Original Series launch in Paramount+ history.
It also had a huge linear debut on Paramount Network in the US, drawing 2.9 million total viewers for its two-episode launch, making it the biggest series premiere on cable since 2023. The premiere telecast alone delivered 1.85 million viewers and ranked as the number one cable entertainment telecast among both adults 18-49 and total viewers.
“Beth and Rip are among the most iconic duos in television history and we are thrilled to bring a whole new world to life with Dutton Ranch for our subscribers around the world,” said Jane Wiseman, Head of Originals for Paramount+. “We’re also incredibly grateful to our partners, including the teams at Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios, for bringing this new series to life with such grit, heart and authenticity.”
In Season 1 of ‘Dutton Ranch’, Beth and Rip are attempting to build a future together away from the ghosts of Montana, only to find themselves colliding with brutal new realities in South Texas. There, a ruthless rival ranch will do whatever it takes to protect its empire, and as you might expect from this corner of the Yellowstone universe, peace is not exactly high on the agenda.
“Dutton Ranch has resonated with audiences in a powerful way, building on the legacy of beloved characters, while establishing its own identity,” said Matt Thunell, President of Paramount Television Studios. “Thank you to our partners at Paramount+ and 101 Studios for a phenomenal first season. We look forward to bringing fans more stories from these unforgettable characters in Season Two.”
Alongside Reilly and Hauser, the debut season also stars Finn Little (Yellowstone), Juan Pablo Raba (Narcos), Jai Courtney (Suicide Squad), J.R. Villarreal, Marc Menchaca (Ozark), Natalie Alyn Lind (Big Sky), and Academy Award nominees Ed Harris (Westworld) and Annette Bening (Nyad).
The nine-episode first season is produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios, the studios behind ‘Yellowstone’. Season 1 comes from executive producer and showrunner Chad Feehan, based on characters created by executive producers Taylor Sheridan and John Linson.
Executive producers also include David C. Glasser, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Christina Alexandra Voros, Michael Friedman, Cole Hauser, Kelly Reilly, and Keith Cox. Voros also directed multiple episodes of the first season, including the premiere episodes and season finale, with Greg Yaitanes, Jessica Lowrey, and Phil Abraham also directing this season.
‘Dutton Ranch’ Season 2 does not yet have a premiere date. ‘Dutton Ranch’ Season 1 is streaming now on Paramount+, with the Season 1 finale premiering Friday, 3rd July 2026. If I want to keep track of this or any other shows, I can add them via our Never Miss system, and I’ll be notified when it gets a UK premiere date. Visit Never Miss.
