Prime Video is heading back to Muskoka, as ‘Sterling Point’ has been renewed for a second season following what the streamer describes as a No. 1 global debut this summer.
Created by Megan Park and produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Fake Empire and LuckyChap, ‘Sterling Point’ launched its eight-episode first season in August and quickly became one of Prime Video’s top series. Season 2 will once again premiere exclusively on the streaming service worldwide.
The drama follows 17-year-old Annie Jacobson, who was raised in New York City alongside her twin brother and loving adoptive father. Her life takes a rather dramatic detour when she inherits her mysterious grandfather’s island in Canada, sending her into a world of new friendships, budding romances and some rather sizeable family secrets.
The first season is led by Ella Rubin (The Idea of You) as Annie, alongside Amélie Hoeferle (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes) as Ramona, Jay Duplass (Transparent) as Steven, Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Walking Dead) as Joe, and Missi Pyle (Galaxy Quest) as Denise Ballatine.
“It’s been an absolute joy to see the appreciation and love for the show,” said creator, co-showrunner and executive producer Megan Park. “We worked so hard to make the show as authentic as possible and to see audiences respond to that has been thrilling. We cannot wait to dive deeper into these characters and deliver the best second season ever!”
Park created, directed and executive produced the first season, serving as co-showrunner alongside Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage of Fake Empire. Tom Ackerley and Dani Gorin executive produce for LuckyChap.
Alongside its strong launch on Prime Video, ‘Sterling Point’ has also been well received by critics, currently sitting at a 90% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes.
There are no details yet on when production on Season 2 will begin or when the new episodes might arrive, but with Annie, Ramona and the rest of the Muskoka crew heading back for another summer, there should be plenty more family secrets waiting to be uncovered.
‘Sterling Point’ Season 1 premiered Wednesday, 5th August 2026 on Prime Video. Season 2 will premiere on Prime Video, with a date to be announced.
