‘Reginald the Vampire’: Sky Picks Up Syfy Series For The UK & Ireland

Sky has picked up US Syfy series Reginald the Vampire to air in UK and Ireland the broadcaster has announced.

Based on Johnny B. Truant’s Fat Vampire novels, the 10-episode comedy-tinged drama, led by Jacob Batalon (‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’) as Reginald, turns traditional vampire tropes on their head while draining the blood from modern-day beauty standards.

Imagine a world populated by beautiful, fit and vain vampires. Reginald Andres (Batalon) tumbles headlong into it as an unlikely hero who will have to navigate every kind of obstacle – the girl he loves but can’t be with, a bully manager at work and the vampire chieftain who wants him dead. Fortunately, Reginald discovers he has a few unrecognized powers of his own. A new show with a lot of heart and just enough blood, ‘Reginald the Vampire’ proves the undead life is just as complicated as life itself.

Alongside Batalon, the series stars Aren Buchholz (‘When Calls the Heart’) as Todd, Em Haine (‘The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers’, ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’) as Sarah Kinney, Georgia Waters (‘Siren’) as Penelope, Mandela Van Peebles (‘Mayor of Kingstown’) as Maurice Miller, Marguerite Hanna as Ashley, Savannah Basley (‘SurrealEstate’, ‘Wynonna Earp’) as Angela and Sean Yves Lessard (‘Heartland’) as Lebron.

‘Reginald the Vampire’ is created by Harley Peyton (‘Chucky’, ‘Project Blue Book’) who also serves as showrunner. Jeremiah Chechik (‘Shadowhunters’, ‘Diabolique’) is the lead director. Peyton and Chechik executive produce alongside Todd Berger, Lindsay Macadam, Brett Burlock and Peter Emerson. Great Pacific Media Inc., Modern Story Company, December Films and Cineflix Studios produce the series. The show is based on the book series by Johnny B. Truant.

Reginald the Vampire‘ does not yet have a premiere date for the UK and Ireland, but will air on Sky (presumably Sky Sci-Fi). If you want to keep track of this or any other show, you can add them via our Never Miss system, and you’ll be notified when it gets a UK premiere date.
