ABC has dropped the first-look photos for ‘9-1-1: Nashville‘, the latest entry in the hit procedural franchise, and the 113 is ready for action. The images give fans their first glimpse of the new cast in character, alongside teases of the fiery chaos to come when the show launches in the USA (and probably the UK) this Autumn.
The cast of 9-1-1: Nashville
Chris O’Donnell (NCIS: Los Angeles) leads the series as Captain Don Hart, a rugged fire captain and rodeo rider who runs Nashville’s busiest firehouse alongside his beloved son. Don is a devoted husband and family man, but there is more to him than meets the eye, with secrets that could impact both his professional and personal life.

Jessica Capshaw (Grey’s Anatomy) plays Blythe Hart, Don’s wife, who works in the horse racing business. A lifelong rider herself, Capshaw describes Blythe as strong, smart, strategic, and ambitious, yet also warm and nurturing. She is the glue that holds her family together, balancing her own ambitions with an instinct to care for those around her.

LeAnn Rimes, the multi-award-winning country music star, makes her series-regular TV debut as Dixie Bennings. Details about the character are still being kept under wraps, but Rimes has revealed that Dixie is a mother, something the crew initially found surprising given her youthful appearance. The role also gives Rimes the chance to bring her real-world country roots into the ‘9-1-1’ universe.

Kimberly Williams-Paisley (Nashville) returns to Music City, this time in the role of Cammie Raleigh, a quick-thinking dispatcher who keeps the emergency services connected when disaster strikes. Her calm under pressure and intimate knowledge of the city make her an essential part of the team.

Michael Provost (Insatiable) plays Ryan Hart, the son of Don and Blythe. A firefighter and modern-day cowboy, Ryan brings youthful energy and determination to the firehouse, determined to prove himself both to his father and his fellow crew members.

Hailey Kilgore (Power Book III: Raising Kanan) appears as Taylor, a skilled firefighter with an incredible singing voice. Her dual talents mean she is equally at home saving lives or captivating a crowd, hinting at a potential musical subplot in the heart of Music City.

Juani Feliz (Fleishman Is in Trouble) takes on the role of Roxie, a former trauma surgeon turned firefighter. Known for chasing adrenaline, Roxie’s medical expertise and fearless approach to danger make her a formidable presence on the team.

Hunter McVey plays Blue, a haunted bad boy who has turned his life around to become a firefighter. His past may be troubled, but his commitment to the job is unwavering, and his experience gives him a unique perspective when faced with the toughest calls.
Behind the scenes and setting
The first official promo for ‘9-1-1: Nashville’ finds a fiery twister touching down in Music City, implying it to be the first disaster facing its firefighters this Autumn. The franchise has already thrown plenty at its first responders, from an earthquake to a tsunami to an asteroid (and the infamous “beenado”), but a flaming tornado (flamenado?) is a first.
Prior to the announcement of 9-1-1: Nashville, there had been talk of a new spin-off, but they hadn’t decided where it would be set. Various places were suggested, including Las Vegas and Hawaii. “There were a lot of possibilities that had been talked about,” said ‘9-1-1: Nashville’ executive producer Tim Minear, explaining that the setting was ultimately chosen for two reasons. “One, I think that it’s a really interesting city with its own personality. It’s very unlike Austin. We did kind of a red state 9-1-1 [with Lone Star], but Austin is a very blue town. Nashville felt even a little bit more Southern. It also has the country music industry, and it just felt like it could be a fun place to set a piece of the franchise.” The second reason is a bit more practical. “Quite frankly, Tennessee is very production-friendly,” Minear adds. “That also factored into our reasoning. There are some states that you think would be fantastic places to set the show, but it’s just not cost-effective to do it.”
On potential crossovers, Minear sounded cautious. ‘9-1-1: Lone Star’ only staged one full crossover with ‘9-1-1’ during its run, and logistics were often cited as the reason. “It’s just not something we’re thinking about right now,” Minear says. That said, some fans began to speculate in early August 2025 when Oliver Stark (9-1-1’s “Buck”) posted an Instagram story from Nashville, although nothing has been announced. Additionally, former ‘Lone Star’ fire chief, Rob Lowe, has expressed interest in returning, although, says that you will have to ask his brother, Chad, about that… “Chad Lowe is the executive producer, director of 9-1-1 Nashville, so I’m just waiting for my phone to ring,” Rob joked. “I mean, you know, I hired him on Lone Star. I think turnabout is fair play!”
As for music, Minear confirms it will “absolutely” factor into the new series. With LeAnn Rimes in the main cast and Hailey Kilgore’s character described as an “incredible singer,” expect Nashville’s music scene to be part of the storytelling fabric.
‘9-1-1: Nashville’ is also being executive-produced by Ryan Murphy, former ‘9-1-1: Lone Star’ showrunner Rashad Raisani, Brad Falchuk, Chad Lowe and Angela Bassett.
When will it air in the UK?
A UK premiere date has not yet been confirmed, but the series is expected to air on Disney+ UK. Over in the US, the show will be paired with the main ‘9-1-1’ on ABC, airing on the same night.
Historically, when Disney+ UK handled ‘9-1-1’ and ‘9-1-1: Lone Star’, the streamer alternated between the two shows, running ‘9-1-1’ first, then ‘Lone Star’ during the main show’s hiatus, before switching back again. It is unclear whether that scheduling pattern will continue or if Disney+ UK will drop both series around the same time as in the US. Either way, at least one of the ‘9-1-1’ series is expected to premiere in the UK this Autumn.
‘9-1-1: Nashville‘ premieres Thursday, 9th October 2025 on ABC in the USA, launching on the same night as the new season of ‘9-1-1‘. A UK date for Disney+ has yet to be confirmed, but at least one of the ‘9-1-1’ series is expected to begin in Autumn 2025 on Disney+ UK. If you want to keep track of this or any other shows, you can add them via our Never Miss system, and you’ll be notified when it gets a UK premiere date. Visit Never Miss.
