Peaky Blinders – Season 3 Premiere in Birmingham, May 2016
A gloriously sunny day greeted us in Birmingham yesterday as the stars gathered for the premiere of the hit BBC show PEAKY BLINDERS, which returns to BBC Two, tonight at 9pm. This year the premiere took place at the brand new Everyman cinema in Birmingham’s Mailbox, which was the perfect location for a red carpet event.
Various stars from the cast were in attendance, including a very sharply dressed Cillian Murphy (Thomas Shelby) who zoomed past the press line rather quickly (which did upset some of the larger press outlets), but did come out again and spent some time with the fans, which really is far more important. Local lads Harry Kirton (Finn Shelby) and Jordan Bolger (Isaiah), Irish actor Packy Lee (Johnny Dogs), and director Steven Knight also took to the red carpet.
Joining them were a few of the newcomers to Peaky Blinders this season, including Gaite Jansen (Princess Tatiana Petrovna), Katie Phillips (Linda Shelby), and Stephanie Hyam (Charlotte Murray). We managed to grab a few words with Katie, Stephanie and Harry which you can see in the video below.
The new season kicks off with a bang, as we see how Tommy manages to get out of the rather precarious situation he was left in at the end of season 2. There is also a bit of a time jump as we see the Peaky Blinders crew taking their business overseas, and trying to expand the Shelby empire to all corners of the globe! We really don’t want to give anymore away than that, so make sure you tune into BBC Two tonight at 9pm to catch the start of Peaky Blinders season 3!
