The Late Late Show With James Corden To Air In The UK
Sky today announced they have struck a deal with US network CBS to bring The Late Late Show With James Corden to the UK from the 19th July 2016.
The US chat show with the UK host is not getting a broadcast slot, but will be available via Sky On Demand and NOW TV, just one day after the US airing. Additionally, Sky 1 will exclusively broadcast The Late Late Show Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special on the 19th July featuring Corden’s favourite moments from his first year in late night, and highlights from his Carpool Karaoke segments with Adele, Jennifer Lopez and Mariah Carey.
“In just over a year, James has made a very big mark on U.S. late night television with a critically acclaimed show that features the biggest names in entertainment, and unique segments that quickly become digital sensations.” commented Armando Nuñez, President & CEO, CBS Global Distribution Group “We’re excited that U.K. audiences will get to experience all the energy and excitement of the series with our terrific partners at Sky.”
Since the show’s U.S. launch in March 2015, The Late Late Show with James Corden has quickly become known for generating buzzworthy viral videos. The show’s official YouTube channel has surpassed 1 billion total views, has 138 clips with more than one million views each and 6 million subscribers.
Given Corden’s close connection with Sky via the hit show A League Of Their Own, it’s comes as no great shock that The Late Late Show ended up being broadcast on the network.
The Late Late Show With James Corden will be available via Sky On Demand & NOW TV from the 19th July, with the one-off The Late Late Show Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special airing on Sky 1 on the same day.

Am I right in thinking that Sky On Demand actually doesn’t have the options of [english] subtitles? I love James’ show but I am sure that I will have to miss out because of my deafness. Can this be confirmed? Thanks x
Hi Dawn,
At the moment, that does appear to be the case. They say they are working on adding subtitles to On Demand due ‘this Summer’… But, it might not be the entire catalogue, so that still may not solve the problem. Sorry, it’s very poor of Sky really to not have this sorted already.
Cheers
