Sky One Sets UK Premiere Dates For Part 2 Of ‘Arrow’, ‘Flash’, ‘Supergirl’ & ‘Legends Of Tomorrow’

Sky One has announced the return UK premiere dates for part 2 of Arrow‘ Season 7, Flash‘ Season 5, Supergirl‘ Season 4 & Legends Of Tomorrow‘ Season 4.

‘The Flash’ will kick things off on Thursday, 28th February 2019 at 8pm as Barry and Team Flash return with episode 10, “The Flash & the Furious”. While Nora (Jessica Parker Kennedy) grapples with the revelation that Thawne (Tom Cavanagh) killed her grandmother, Team Flash must stop the formidable team-up of a newly sprung from jail Weather Witch (guest star Reina Hardesty) and Silver Ghost (guest star Gabrielle Walsh), a new meta-tech villain who can control engines and motorized technology. Meanwhile, Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) discuss creating a meta-human cure.

‘Supergirl’ comes next on Monday, 4th March 2019 at 8pm with the episode “Suspicious Minds”. Colonel Haley (April Parker Jones) is upset after Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) responds to a distress call from a Navy ship that turned out to be a deadly alien attack. Colonel Haley reclaims the site as DEO territory and demands that Supergirl step aside. After Supergirl refuses to be told what to do, Haley refocuses her energy on finding out Supergirl’s true identity and begins to interrogate all DEO agents, including Alex (Chyler Leigh). Meanwhile, Brainiac-5 (Jesse Rath) tries to persuade Nia (Nicole Maines) to embrace her superpowers but she misinterprets his motives.

‘Arrow’ returns on Tuesday, 5th March 2019 at 8pm as we learn more about the mystery of the new Green Arrow in the episode “My Name Is Emiko Queen”. Oliver (Stephen Amell) is ready to get back to work with the SCPD and to focus on his marriage with Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards). However, when Dinah (Juliana Harkavy) tasks Oliver with tracking the new Green Arrow (Sea Shimooka) things take a surprising turn. Meanwhile, Diggle (David Ramsey) and Lyla (guest star Audrey Marie Anderson) must answer to ARGUS about Diaz (Kirk Acevedo).

Lastly there is a little bit more of a wait for the return of ‘Legends Of Tomorrow’, due to not returning until April in the US. However, that will be back on Wednesday, 10th April 2019 at 8pm with the episode “Lucha de Apuestas”. This will presumably pick up after the events which saw Constantine (Matt Ryan) mess up the timeline and never join the Legends in the first place. Now the status quo has been returned, Sara (Caity Lotz) and the rest of the Legends need to help him deal with the demon, Neron. The title of the episode refers to a practice in Mexican wrestling where the wrestler will offer something, such as his mask, in return to settle a feud. Could Constantine be about to try and strike a deal with a demon?

Edit: For those of you asking “why the long wait?”, we’ll try and explain. It’s basically the US scheduling breaks. A lot of these longer running network shows that have mid-season breaks also have 4 or 5 more breaks between now and the end of the run. So the Arrowverse shows came back in the US in early Jan (except Legends), so the very earliest Sky One *could* have put them is around mid-Feb in the UK, if you account for the 4/5 weeks it has to run behind to remove the breaks.

However, Sky will already be running other shows in the best time slots by then, so they’ll have to wait for those to end before they can slot the returning series back in. I know it’s annoying but it’s not entirely Sky’s fault, it’s the random US “on one week, off the next” scheduling that causing it. Over the course of the run we actually catch up with the US, so by the end of the season, we’re back to being around one week behind again.

I know some people would be okay with the gaps if it means they got a show closer to the US, but then Sky has to find something to fill their schedule in the week the show doesn’t air in the US, which is a massive headache… Plus they’ll be bombarded with angry messages about “why isn’t Flash/Arrow etc… on this week?”… They’re a bit damned either way…

Flash‘ Season 5b – Thursday, 28th February 2019 at 8pm, ‘Supergirl‘ Season 4b – Monday, 4th March 2019 at 8pm, ‘Arrow‘ Season 7b – Tuesday, 5th March 2019 at 8pm, and ‘Legends Of Tomorrow‘ Season 4b – Wednesday, 10th April 2019 at 8pm.
