Geektown Radio 378: ‘Shazam!’, ‘Big Door Prize’, ‘Beef’, ‘Star Wars Celebration’ Reviews, TV News & UK Air Dates!

We return with a new episode of the Geektown Radio podcast, packed with lots of news from the world of entertainment, and I’m joined by our film reviewer Gray in the co-host chair to chat through and review the week on UK TV and film, alongside the usual TV news and UK TV air dates.

With Gray back on the show, he brings with him an honest review of ‘Shazam! Fury Of The Gods‘, having (somehow) managed to avoid all other reviews and form his own unbias opinion of the film. We also discuss the new Apple TV+ series The Big Door Prize, and the new Netflix series Beef. Meanwhile, I talk through visiting Insomnia 70 Gaming Festival, along with chatting about Channel 4’s new show Late Night Lycett, and finishing season one of the Paramount+ animated series ‘Star Trek Prodigy‘.

In the news section, we run through all the renewals, cancellations and pick-ups, discussing ‘The Resident’ finally getting the axe, and some obvious renewals for the BBC and ITV1. We also go through all the news announced at ‘Star Wars Celebration’ over the weekend, ‘Cruel Intentions’ finally managing to find someone to make it into a TV show, ‘Harry Potter’ possibly making his small-screen debut, and Disney+ heading to Tudor times… All this and more when you listen below!
