‘Brassic’ Season 5 Gets Trailer & September UK Premiere Date On Sky Max

Vinnie and his multi-award-winning gang are back

by Dave Elliott

The Brassic gang are back for a brand new season, as Sky announces a September premiere date and releases the trailer for Season 5.

The series stars Joe Gilgun as Vinnie, a Lancashire lad with bipolar disorder, who, alongside his anarchic group of friends, struggle to make money, in… less than legal ways… often leading to much bigger problems than they started with!

The eight-episode fifth season sees Vinnie, Erin (Michelle Keegan), Tommo (Ryan Sampson), Ash (Aaron Heffernan), Cardi (Tom Hanson), Carole (Bronagh Gallagher), Sugar (Joanna Higson), JJ (Parth Thakerar), Farmer Jim (Steve Evets) and Dr Chris (Dominic West) take on even more escapades.

Vinnie and his crew are still in trouble with local criminal heavyweights, the MacDonagh brothers (Neil Ashton and Greg Wood), whose sister is now joining the feud. They also welcome a new addition to the Brassic family and are determined to find out exactly what happened to Dylan…

Joining the cast this season is the star of the hit French comedy ‘Call My Agent’, Camille Cottin, who plays Vinnie’s new therapist. That new addition to the group takes the form of Bhavna Limbachia (‘Coronation Street’, ‘Citizen Khan’) reprising her role of Meena (aka Bridezilla), who joins the Brassic gang after taking a job with undertaker Gary (Tadhg Murphy).

Co-created by Danny Brocklehurst and Gilgun, the series is made for Sky by Calamity Films, and written by Brocklehurst, Alex Ganley and Danielle Ward. The executive producers are David Livingston for Calamity, alongside Joe Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst.

Brassic‘ Season 5 premieres Thursday, 28th September 2023 at 10pm on Sky Max and on streaming service NOW with an Entertainment pass. The series airs on Hulu in the USA.
