Another win for another very British show, as David Mitchell stars in ‘Ludwig‘, as John ‘Ludwig’ Taylor, whose identical twin brother James mysteriously vanishes, so he’s strong-armed by James’ wife (Anna Maxwell Martin) to take on his brother’s identity to uncover the truth behind his disappearance. Brilliantly funny, wonderfully cast, and a joy to watch.

There were so many great returning comedies this year, we struggled to cut down the list, and it seems the voters also struggled to pick a winner, resulting in a tie for the top spot. This year’s award goes to Sky’s beloved comedy ‘Brassic‘, and US import ‘Young Sheldon‘, which ended with its 7th and final season. Whilst the latter won’t return (although there is the spin-off of the spin-off, ‘Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage‘, still to land in the UK), ‘Brassic’ was renewed for a 7th Season before Season 6 even aired, so will return in 2025.
