Apple TV+ has released a trailer for Guy Ritchie’s upcoming action-adventure film ‘Fountain of Youth’, starring John Krasinski, Academy Award winner Natalie Portman, Eiza González, Domhnall Gleeson, Arian Moayed, Laz Alonso, Carmen Ejogo and Stanley Tucci.
‘Fountain of Youth’ follows two estranged siblings (Krasinski and Portman) who partner on a global heist to find the mythological Fountain of Youth. They must use their knowledge of history to follow clues on an epic adventure that will change their lives… and possibly lead to immortality.
Krasinski’s Luke is a carefree treasure hunter, while Portman’s Charlotte is a meticulous gallery curator. Their journey takes them across various continents, including locations such as Egypt, London, and Thailand, as they follow historical clues in search of the legendary source of eternal life. The adventure is funded by Owen Carver, a wealthy billionaire played by Domhnall Gleeson.
Filmed around Bangkok, Vienna, Liverpool and a number of other locations, the movie does look like it should be a lot of fun, and a new twist on the classic “Indiana Jones” style adventure. It also somewhat begs the question, why didn’t they ask Krasinski to star as Nathan Drake when they wanted to make an ‘Uncharted’ film?
An Apple Original Film, ‘Fountain of Youth’ is directed by Ritchie and written by James Vanderbilt (‘The Amazing Spider-Man’, ‘Scream’ franchise). Hailing from Skydance Media,the movie is produced by David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger for Skydance, alongside Tripp Vinson for Vinson Films, and Vanderbilt, William Sherak and Paul Neinstein for Vanderbilt’s Project X Entertainment, with Ritchie, Ivan Atkinson and Jake Myers. Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett, Chad Villella and Tara Farney executive produce for Radio Silence.
‘Fountain of Youth’ will premiere Friday, 23rd May 2025 on Apple TV+ globally.
