Paramount+ is sticking with its crime drama hit, as ‘Tulsa King’ has officially been renewed for a fourth season. The news comes just ahead of the season three launch this September, with Sylvester Stallone (Rocky, Creed) continuing in the lead role as Dwight “The General” Manfredi.
The series, from Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone, Mayor of Kingstown) and produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios, has been a massive global performer for the streamer. Season two shattered records with 21.1 million global viewers for its premiere episode, marking Paramount+’s most watched global debut at the time. It also became the #1 Paramount+ Original worldwide in 2024, and landed as a top ten original series across all streamers in Q4 that year.
In season three, Dwight’s expanding empire runs headlong into the Dunmires, an old-money dynasty that plays by no rules Dwight recognises, forcing him to protect his crew and family against their most dangerous threat yet. Alongside Stallone, the cast includes Martin Starr (Silicon Valley), Annabella Sciorra (The Sopranos), Neal McDonough (Band of Brothers), Robert Patrick (Peacemaker), Bella Heathcote (Pieces of Her), Frank Grillo (Kingdom), and guest star Samuel L. Jackson (Secret Invasion), who also headlines the upcoming spin-off NOLA King.
Behind the scenes, there’s a bit of a shuffle. Season three showrunner Dave Erickson (Fear the Walking Dead) is stepping aside to focus on Mayor of Kingstown, while Terence Winter (Boardwalk Empire) returns as head writer and executive producer for season four. Winter was central to shaping Tulsa King’s early success, so his return marks a full-time creative comeback.
Importantly, this isn’t being billed as the final season. Talks are reportedly underway with Stallone for another two-year deal, meaning Tulsa King could potentially run for six seasons if its ratings momentum continues.
‘Tulsa King’ Season 4 will air on Paramount+ in the UK and US. Seasons one and two are available to stream now.
‘Tulsa King’ Season 3 premieres Sunday, 21st September 2025 on Paramount+.
