ITVX is adding a blood-soaked double bill of AMC Stories titles this October, serving up vampires and visceral filmmaking in equal measure.
First up is ‘Firebite’, streaming from Wednesday, 16th October 2025. Set in a remote desert mining town, this sharp and sun-baked series imagines the last vampire stronghold hiding beneath the Australian outback. Shipped from Britain to Australia in 1788 to eradicate Indigenous populations, the vampires have been lurking in the mines and tunnels ever since, their hunger and numbers growing. War is coming. Standing against them are Tyson, an expertly reckless fighter full of bravado, and Shanika, a 17-year-old orphan determined to finish the fight that others could not.
Created and written by acclaimed Indigenous filmmaker Warwick Thornton (Samson and Delilah, Sweet Country), the series is also directed by Thornton, Brendan Fletcher (Mad Bastards), and Tony Krawitz (The Tall Man, Dead Europe). Expect sun-bleached grit, Indigenous mythology, and bloodletting with a punk-rock pulse.
Then, from Sunday, 20th October 2025, horror fans can sink their teeth into ‘Eli Roth’s History of Horror’. This fascinating documentary series, fronted by the award-winning horror maestro himself, digs deep into the genre’s biggest themes, from slashers to supernatural chills, and the real-world anxieties that fuel them. Roth gathers a dream lineup of horror legends, including Stephen King, Quentin Tarantino, and Linda Blair, to share behind-the-scenes stories and examine why audiences can’t resist a good scare.
Drawing on more than 120 hours of original interviews, Eli Roth’s History of Horror charts the evolution of fear itself, exploring how monsters, maniacs, and myths have reflected and shaped our collective nightmares.
‘Firebite’ premieres Wednesday, 16th October 2025, and ‘Eli Roth’s History of Horror’ follows on Sunday, 20th October 2025, both streaming on ITVX.
