CBS has renewed ‘Marshals‘ for a second season, with the Luke Grimes (Yellowstone) drama landing an early pickup after a very strong start in the US.
The series, which marks the first broadcast network show from the wider ‘Yellowstone’ universe, has clearly made an immediate impact for CBS. According to the broadcaster, the premiere episode was watched by 20.6 million multiplatform viewers within seven days, making it the most-watched network original series premiere without a football lead-in since 2017.
CBS also says the launch became its most-streamed episode ever on Paramount+, with the show topping the week’s rankings and helping the network deliver the two most-watched shows and top three new series across premiere week.
Amy Reisenbach, president, CBS Entertainment, said: “MARSHALS delivered a breakout performance, capturing a massive audience across platforms and quickly establishing itself as one of TV’s most powerful new series. The overwhelming viewer response speaks to the strength of the Yellowstone world, the bold character-driven storytelling from the creative team and the dynamic cast performances led by Luke Grimes.”
‘Marshals’ stars Luke Grimes (Yellowstone), reprising his role as Kayce Dutton, as he joins an elite unit of U.S. Marshals, combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana.
The show is produced by Paramount TV Studios and 101 Studios, and airs on Sundays on CBS in the US, streaming live and on demand on Paramount+.
‘Marshals’ Season 1 is currently streaming on Paramount+ in the UK. If you want to keep track of this or any other shows, you can add them via our Never Miss system, and you’ll be notified when it gets a UK premiere date. Visit Never Miss.

Terrible reviews on IMDb. Agree with most there that Marshals seems rushed and cheap. However, I am enjoying it, though I never watched Yellowstone as my husband says there was not one likeable character in it.
