The BBC has confirmed ‘A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder‘ will return for its second series this May, with all six episodes landing on BBC iPlayer ahead of their broadcast on BBC One and BBC Three.
Based on the bestselling novels by Holly Jackson, ‘A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder’ is produced by Moonage Pictures, part of ITV Studios, in a co-production with Netflix and ZDFneo. The new six-part run picks up after the fallout from Pip’s first case, as she tries to leave investigations behind, only to get pulled into another mystery when Jamie suddenly disappears.
Emma Myers (Wednesday, Family Switch) returns as Pip Fitz-Amobi, with Zain Iqbal back as Ravi Singh. The second series also sees Henry Ashton return as Max Hastings, alongside Jude Morgan-Collie as Connor and Eden H Davies as Jamie.
The first series was a major success for the BBC when it debuted in summer 2024, becoming one of BBC iPlayer’s most-watched titles among 16 to 24-year-olds, and BBC Three’s highest-rated drama since the channel relaunched. So there was never much doubt that Pip’s story would continue.
Series 2 is based on Good Girl, Bad Blood, the second book in Holly Jackson’s hugely popular YA mystery series. Holly Jackson and Poppy Cogan are adapting the new run for screen, with Jackson also joining as writer on the show this time round.
The official synopsis reads: “After solving the Andie Bell case Pip’s world has been transformed by her actions, and not always for the better. Pip is determined to fix the fallout – and stay away from any more investigations. But as Max Hastings’ trial approaches, key witness Jamie Reynolds suddenly disappears and Pip finds herself in a race against time to find him. This new mystery will take Pip to unexpected places as she struggles with the idea of justice, straying even further from the ‘good girl’ she once was.”
Jackson said: “I am BEYOND thrilled that we can continue Pip’s story and, this time, I’m writing on the show! We owe everything to the dedicated fans, and I can’t wait to reunite with my AGGGTM family!”
Poppy Cogan added: “I’m delighted to be back in Little Kilton with Pip and friends for season two, and to have the opportunity to bring another of Holly’s gripping stories to the screen.”
While the BBC gets the series in the UK, Netflix will launch the new season globally outside Germany, Austria and Switzerland, where it will air on ZDFneo. In Australia, the drama will stream exclusively on Stan.
‘A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder‘ Series 2 premieres Wednesday, 27th May 2026 on BBC iPlayer, BBC One and BBC Three.
