John Noble Back In Sleepy Hollow

TV series Sleepy Hollow is going through some major changes. After the shock death of it’s female lead and Ichabod’s partner Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie), there are some new, and old, faces appearing when it returns for it’s 4th season.

The major reveal from the NYCC panel this weekend was that John Noble would be returning in some way to the show. How that is going to happen and in what capacity they didn’t say. Noble first appeared in season one as Henry Parrish the ‘Sin Eater’ (does what it says on the tin… he eats sins…), before it was later revealed he was actually Ichabod’s son, Jeremy Crane… and also The Horseman of War! His character was apparently killed off at the end of season 2, but it seems he may have found a way around that whole pesky ‘dying’ thing.

Janina Gavankar (Arrow, True Blood) is taking over as Ichabod’s partner for the new season, as Diana Thomas, a single mom and former military officer and now a Special Agent for Homeland Security. After her partner goes down in the line of duty, she and Crane find common ground in their shared sense of loss, although it quickly becomes apparent they have another important point of connection – though not one anyone would expect at first.

Another major new character is Malcolm Dreyfuss, played by Lost’s Jeremy Davies. He’s an outspoken, arrogant, self made billionaire, who, having dominated the tech market, is looking for other worlds to conquer. Where as Crane seeks to uphold the values of the Founding Fathers, Dreyfuss is the epitome of ‘out of control’ capitalism.

Lyndie Greenwood is set to return as Jenny Mills, but Lance Gross (FBI boss Daniel Reynolds) and Jessica Camacho (FBI agent Sophie Foster) have been removed as season regulars, although they may return in guest roles.

Sleepy Hollow has previously aired in October in the UK on Universal. However, US channel Fox have moved it to ‘mid-season’, meaning it won’t return till around February 2017 over there. Hopefully Universal in the UK will stick to airing it close to the US air date, meaning it should return Feb/March in the UK.
