Sky Witness has landed the UK broadcast rights to ‘Law & Order: Organized Crime‘, the latest spin-off from Dick Wolf’s mega-franchise, which sees Christopher Meloni reprise his role as Elliot Stabler.
Christopher Meloni, reprising his role as Elliot Stabler, returns to the NYPD to battle organized crime after a devastating personal loss. However, the city and police department have changed dramatically in the decade he’s been away, and he must adapt to a criminal justice system in the midst of its own moment of reckoning. Stabler will aim to find absolution and rebuild his life while leading an elite new task force that is taking apart the city’s most powerful crime syndicates one by one.
Alongside Meloni, the series also stars Danielle Moné Truitt (‘Deputy’, ‘Rebel’) as Sergeant Ayanna Bell, squad supervisor of the OCCB task force and Stabler’s current partner; Ainsley Seiger as Jet Slootmaekers, a former hacker recruited to the OCCB task force; Dylan McDermott (‘The Practice’, ‘American Horror Story’) as Richard Wheatley, son of notorious mobster Manfredi Sinatra, now turned “legit” businessman (allegedly…) and was a suspect in the murder of Stabler’s wife; And Tamara Taylor (‘Bones’) as Angela Wheatley, a math professor at Hudson University, and ex-wife of Richard Wheatley.
‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ was created by Dick Wolf, who will executive produce along with Ilene Chaiken, Terry Miller, Fred Berner, Arthur W. Forney and Peter Jankowski. The series is produced by Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.
The series begins with a special crossover episode, carrying on the storyline ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’ S22/Eps 9. So, for those of you doing the sums, that should place ‘Law & Order: Organized Crime‘ Season 1 as airing Friday 30 July 2021 at 10pm on Sky Witness.
