‘Hudson & Rex’ Season 5: Alibi Sets June UK Premiere Date
Alibi has set a UK premiere date for ‘Hudson & Rex‘ Season 5, as the detective and his former-K9 German Shepherd partner return for more crime-solving.
‘Hudson & Rex’ stars John Reardon (‘Van Helsing’, ‘Continuum’) as Detective Charlie Hudson and his intrepid German Shepherd Rex (the fabulously named good boy, Diesel von Burgimwald) back on the trail of St. John’s most devious criminals. Together, they investigate puzzling crimes, from a kidnapping which reveals a much larger conspiracy at play to an art theft murder which runs deep into the world of high society. With Charlie’s deft detective work and Rex’s keen canine senses, this crime-fighting pair is unstoppable.
The opening episode of Season 5 is titled “Lost In The Barrens”. When a young woman goes missing in The Barrens, suspicion turns to the woman’s boyfriend and it’s up to the team to uncover the truth behind her disappearance.
Alongside Reardon, the lighthearted Canadian police procedural also stars Mayko Nguyen (Killjoys), Kevin Hanchard (Orphan Black), and Justin Kelly (Wynonna Earp).
The fifth season is the largest so far, with a whole 20 episodes of crime-solving capers for you to get through! It has also already been renewed for a 6th Season by Canadian broadcaster Citytv.
‘Hudson & Rex’ is produced by Shaftesbury in collaboration with Pope Productions and Germany’s Beta Film. Beta also handles international distribution for the series.
‘Hudson & Rex‘ Season 5 premieres Sunday, 25th June 2023 at 7pm with a double-bill on UKTV’s Alibi.
