The BBC is planning a very Traitorous year, as the UK broadcaster announces ‘The Traitors US‘, ‘The Traitors Australia‘ and ‘The Traitors NZ‘ will all air on BBC iPlayer in 2024 along with the UK series which concludes this week.
For those of you who have missed this global phenomenon, ‘The Traitors’ is a psychological reality game show centred around tactics, betrayal, suspicion and manipulation. Should the Faithful contestants eliminate all the Traitors, they will share the prize fund. If a Traitor makes it to the end, they steal the money.
The UK version of the show produced by Studio Lambert, is hosted by Claudia Winkleman and has been a huge hit with audiences, receiving widespread critical acclaim with the most recent series concluding on BBC One and iPlayer on Friday 26 January with a 70-minute-long final episode.
First up following the conclusion of the UK series is a 2nd Season ‘The Traitors Australia‘, hosted by ‘Doctor Doctor’ actor, Rodger Corser, which begins on BBC Three on Friday 26 January 2024 at 10.50pm, immediately after the final episode of ‘The Traitors: Uncloaked’ on BBC Two, with all 9 episodes available as a boxset on BBC iPlayer at 6am the same day.
Later in the year, the 2nd Season of ‘The Traitors US‘, also produced by Studio Lambert, arrives on BBC iPlayer. Hosted by lovable Scottish actor Alan Cumming, the series will feature some players familiar to audiences in the UK including former House of Commons speaker John Bercow and previous Love Island contestant Ekin-Su Cülcülo?lu.
Lastly, joining the lineup on BBC iPlayer this year is Season 1 of ‘The Traitors NZ‘, hosted by New Zealand broadcasting legend, Paul Henry.
