Couple of Notes on Commenting…

TIPS FOR POSTING It is always extremely helpful when people post dates, times and information below. It is useful in keeping the list as current as possible and makes for a great community spirit. But when posting, please remember the following:

1) Use full programme titles. As instantly recognisable as abbreviations may be to someone who watches that show, to someone who doesn’t, it is just a meaningless collection of letters that have to be looked up.

2) If a bit of information is a rumour, please say so – we can list it as such, pending confirmation

3) If something comes from a reputable source, please quote that source, so we all know it is not just a rumour.

Thank you.

That’s so strange that Supergirl is starting later than the rest. Most people assumed they were holding back the DC shows so they could all start at the same time.

      0
      • Edward Perkins says:

The CW in America are giving Supergirl a break does not return until April 2018. The CW are Shown 4 Episodes of Supergirl in January 2018.

        0
        • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

Yeah, it sort of makes sense. It would mean they can put Supergirl together in one solid block rather than running 4 episodes and breaking like they are doing in the US. I should say, Sky dates don’t officially lock until 2 weeks before broadcast, so they may move around a little.

          1+
          • Kieran says:

if Supergirl comes back March 19 wouldn’t it eventually catch up and have to take a week break. ep 13 airs in u.k. on Apr 9 but it can’t show ep 14 on Apr 16 since that’s when that ep airs in US

            0
            • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

Yeah I had spotted that. I do wonder if it’ll either be a week later or they’ll skip a week for some reason. As I said above, Sky don’t lock dates until 2 weeks before, so they could move.

              1+
    • Chelsea says:

      Supergirl – 26th March ?

      0
      • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

Yes, latest info has it moved back 1 week, which makes sense.

4 episodes of Supergirl air in the US, then it goes off air and returns to The CW on the 16th April.

So if they’d brought it back to Sky One on the 19th March and aired those initial 4 eps, we would have caught up with the US by the 16th April. That would mean they would have had to skip a week, which seems silly.

Makes more sense to launch Supergirl on the 26th March, then they can run it straight through without a break, and, after the first 4 weeks, we’re back to being only 1 week behind the US, if that makes sense! 🙂

Not a UK premiere but useful for non-Sky folks – and possibly an indicator of a channel for a UK premiere down the line.

ITV4 have quietly snuck The Americans Season 5 into their late night schedules. Episode 3 was last night. The first 3 episodes are on the ITV Hub. Currently 11 days left to catch up on Episode 1. The series was on ITV Encore originally.

With ITV Encore going online in the spring I wonder if this means the sixth & final season might be moving to ITV4 as well? I’d assumed previously we might just get it as an online boxset.

  122. Hi,

Any idea when Agents of shield or supernatural will be back on.

Also have krypton or the new marvel series any chance of being picked up.

    cheers

    0
    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

Yes(ish…) As they say in the list, latest news from Channel 4 is AoS should be back late Feb/early March. Supernatural is looking like late Spring (which, I know, is kinda annoying).

No news on Krypton yet, but I suspect someone will go for it. We’ll let you know when we hear something.

    0
    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

Very hard to say what may happen with Code Black. We may get Elementary in the Spring close to the US, but it is entirely possible Sky may boot it to the Summer. Way too early to really know at this point.

Are Arrow, Flash and Supergirl not being shown a week after America this time

    0
    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

Not this year. I suspect it may have something to do with the delay of Supergirl messing up the scheduling in the US. The second half of the season is always hard to predict as Sky has brought them back in Jan, Feb and March in previous years… I can say they aren’t coming back in Jan. Hopefully we may see them return in Feb, but we we’ll have to wait and see.

      0
      • big_smile says:

In the US, they are going to show half of Supergirl, then Legends of Tomorrow and then the second half of Supergirl. Does that mean Sky would have to wait until the second half of Supergirl starts in the US before it can start in the UK? If so, it could a lot later than usual!

        1+
        • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

Yeah… I’m not sure. I *hope* they aren’t going to leave it that late as that’s going to upset a lot of people. I know they have held it back longer than a week before due to the extra breaks the US puts in the scheduling, so it may just be that causing it. As I said, it’s been as late as March previously.

          0
          • kieran says:

they may be waiting until the week after legends return so they can have all 4 shows returning in the same week ?. it’s also kind of stupid like i’m sure by the time that the shows come back a lot of people will probs have had it spoiled for them

            0
            • big_smile says:

I personally would prefer it if they followed the US method (of alternating between Supergirls and legends). It’s not just to avoid spoilers, but also because 4 superhero shows a week is quite a lot. Going back to 3 would be better. Maybe just start a week or two later than the US to skip those crazy haitises they have.

Not impossible as it is a bought in show not a Netflix original. However, if it does, it probably won’t be for a few years. Netflix did pay out a lot for the international distribution, so it will depend on the terms of that deal and how long they have the exclusivity for.

No, I don’t believe so… Sky has an overall deal for all of Showtime’s content, the same as they have a deal with HBO so it would seem extremely unlikely. Ah yes. But those are Netflix Originals, so they tend to promote them individually and earlier. The “bought in” shows we usually don’t officially know about until they appear on the list. We can make an educated guess on most of their return dates though, once the US network announces when they are bringing a show back.
