I’m beginning to wonder what dirt Richard Armitage has on Quay Street Productions, as he’s announced as one of the many cast joining lead Rosalind Eleazar in the new Harlen Coben drama ‘Missing You‘ at Netflix.
A couple of days again, we revealed Rosalind Eleazar (Slow Horses, Harlots) would take the lead role of Detective Kat Donovan, whose fiancé Josh – the love of her life – disappeared eleven years ago and she’s never heard from him since. Now, swiping profiles on a dating app, she suddenly sees his face and her world explodes all over again. Josh’s reappearance will force her to dive back into the mystery surrounding her father’s murder and uncover long-buried secrets from her past.
Joining Eleazar are Jessica Plummer (EastEnders, The Girl Before) as Stacey Embalo, Sir Lenny Henry (Three Little Birds The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power) as Clint Donovan, Steve Pemberton (Inside No9, Happy Valley) as Titus, Paul Kaye (Sexy Beast, The Stranger) as Monte Leburne, Samantha Spiro (Sex Education, Ridley Road) as Nurse Sally Steiner, Lisa Faulkner (Archie, Unforgotten) as Dana Fells, Mary Malone (Doctor Who, The Prince) as Aqua, and Richard Armitage (Fool Me Once, Obsession, and Harlen Coben mascot) as Ellis Stagger.
The cast also includes Charlie Hamblett (Killing Eve, Around The World In 80 Days), Oscar Kennedy (Wreck, Breeders, Outlander), Brigid Zengeni (Prosper, The Artful Dodger), Catherine Ayers (The Way, Keeping Faith), Felix Garcia Guyer (Sanctuary), Jo Martin (Doctor Who, Marlow Murder Club) and more!
Victoria Asare-Archer, who previously worked on ‘Stay Close’, has written the drama, with Sean Spencer (‘A Town Called Malice’, ‘The Lazarus Project’) as lead director. Asare-Archer, Coben, Nicola Shindler, Richard Fee, and Danny Brocklehurst exec produce, and Quay Street Productions (part of ITV Studios) is the production company.
This is the sixth Harlan Coben adaptation for Netflix from Harlan Coben, Danny Brocklehurst, Nicola Shindler, and Richard Fee. Back in January, it was announced Netflix has also ordered a seventh adaptation from Quay Street, based on Harlan Coben novel ‘Run Away’, which is due to film after ‘Missing You’.
Quay Street Productions (part of ITV Studios), was founded by multi-award-winning producer Nicola Shindler OBE in 2021, and builds of builds on Shindler’s reputation to deliver compelling drama, with her previous credits including ‘It’s A Sin’, ‘Stay Close’, ‘The Stranger’, ‘Happy Valley’, ‘Queer As Folk’ and more. They recently produced Russell T Davies’s drama ‘Nolly’ for ITVX, along with feature-length drama ‘Men Up’ for the BBC, and ‘After the Flood’ for ITV1/ITVX.
