‘Memory of a Killer’ starring Patrick Dempsey lands on Prime Video UK this February

by Dave Elliott

Prime Video has confirmed that Memory of a Killer, a brand new ten-episode thriller led by Patrick Dempsey (Grey’s Anatomy, Dexter: Original Sin), will be available exclusively in the UK and Ireland this February.

The series is inspired by the book and acclaimed 2003 Belgian film De Zaak Alzheimer, and follows a man living two radically different lives while hiding a secret that threatens to destroy them both.

At the centre of the story is Angelo, played by Patrick Dempsey, a fearsome New York City hitman who also poses as a mild-mannered photocopier salesman and devoted father in upstate New York. As if maintaining two identities was not complicated enough, Angelo is slowly losing his memory. When he begins to suspect his wife’s recent death may not have been an accident, and his pregnant daughter becomes a target, the fragile barrier between his lives collapses. Forced to dig through his long history of past hits, Angelo races against his failing mind to protect his family.

Michael Imperioli (The Sopranos) stars opposite Dempsey as Dutch Forlanni, an Italian chef whose restaurant doubles as a front for criminal operations. Dutch is Angelo’s oldest friend and employer, supplying the targets for his hits. Charismatic, ruthless, and unpredictable, he is someone Angelo must rely on, despite trust being one of Dutch’s least reliable traits.

The series will launch with its first two episodes, followed by weekly instalments, adding to Prime Video’s growing slate of high-end crime thrillers.

Memory of a Killer’ premieres Wednesday, 5th February 2026, on Prime Video in the UK and Ireland. The series airs on FOX in the USA.
