‘Hacks’ To End With Season 5 As Sky Sets UK Return For April

by Dave Elliott

Sky has confirmed Hacks will return to the UK this April for its fifth and final season, bringing the acclaimed comedy to a close with one last run of episodes.

The multi-Emmy-winning series picks back up in the wake of reports mistakenly declaring Deborah Vance dead, with Deborah and Ava heading back to Las Vegas and pushing forward with renewed determination to cement Deborah’s legacy as a comedy icon. That setup should give ‘Hacks’ plenty of room for the sharp character clashes and industry satire that have made it one of the standout comedies of the past few years.

The new season once again sees Jean Smart (Watchmen, Mare of Easttown) and Hannah Einbinder leading the cast, alongside returning regulars Paul W. Downs (Broad City), Megan Stalter (Cora Bora), Carl Clemons-Hopkins (Candyman), Mark Indelicato (Ugly Betty), and Rose Abdoo (Gilmore Girls). Joining them across the season are guest stars including Robby Hoffman (Hacks), Tony Goldwyn (Scandal), Kaitlin Olson (High Potential), Christopher McDonald (Hacks), Jane Adams (The Idol), Lauren Weedman (Looking), Poppy Liu (Dead Ringers), Johnny Sibilly (Hacks), Luenell (Borat Subsequent Moviefilm), Angela E. Gibbs (On My Block), and Caitlin Reilly (Loot), with Christopher Briney (The Summer I Turned Pretty), Leslie Bibb (Palm Royale), Cherry Jones (The Handmaid’s Tale), and Ann Dowd (The Handmaid’s Tale) also joining the cast.

Created and showrun by Paul W. Downs, Lucia Aniello and Jen Statsky, ‘Hacks’ has built a loyal following thanks to its mix of biting humour, industry cynicism, and the wonderfully chaotic relationship between Deborah and Ava. With this being the final season, it looks like the show is setting up one last big push for Deborah’s legacy, and presumably a few more gloriously uncomfortable disasters along the way.

Hacks’ Season 5 does not yet have a premiere date but will air on Sky and NOW in the UK this April. If you want to keep track of this or any other shows, you can add them via our Never Miss system, and you’ll be notified when it gets a UK premiere date. The series premieres April 9th, 2026, at 9pm on HBO Max in the USA. Visit Never Miss.
